Mandevilla and Dipladenia are tropical flowers that bloom all summer through fall with amazing foliage and prolific flowering. Mandevillas and Dipladena are extremely drought tolerant and just love full sun all day long, so they are very easy to take care of. Dipladenia tend to be more bush in apperance with smooth glossy leaves, while mandvillas have longer, thinner leaves and the plants tend to vine.
Sun Parasol Giant varieties produce large flowers that span up to 5 inches. Natural climbers, these beauties are stunning trained to a trellis or obelisk in patio pots. The flowering season is slightly later than the Original group. The Giant varieties are the most heat tolerant and superb disease resistant.
Sun Parasol® Pretty varieties combine the best of dipladenia characteristics with mandevilla growth. Flower size is the same as the Original group, but the foliage is glossy, thinner and more vining. Plants are natural climbers and suitable for baskets, trellises, and balconies. Pretty varieties are also more cold tolerant than other dipladenia types.
The original Sun Parasols have the widest color range, including the first stable dark red and crimson, shades of pink, white, and now the first yellow! Plants have a bushy habit and are suitable for patio containers, hanging baskets, balconies, and bedding. You can train the vines to a trellis or support, too!
Sundenia® dipladenias offer the large flowers loved in mandevillas but on a compact, manageable plant. Sundenia’s® flowers are 3-5 inches in diameter, double the size of a typical dipladenia, all on glossy green foliage. Colors include Red, White, Coral, a brilliant rich pink with red undertones and new Crimson, a deep red.
